The standard ISO 14569-1 describe the
investigation of abrasion of dental materials by toothbrushes.
The dental specimen can be moved by a motor controller in the X and Y direction below the toothbrush with a defined cleaning force. Different curved are possible , straight motion , circular motion, Z motion or 8 motion.
The cleaning force is applied by weights and can be set independently for each station. The distance and angle of the brush filaments to the sample surface can be adjusted simply by controls. During the cleaning process, a tooth paste mixture is pumped above the brush head. A stainless stell tube is positioned under the probes, which is easy to clean due to the construction.
The test device has to SPS - control and the test parameters can be for entering via touchscreen.
The cleaning motion (curved path), stroke, speed and number of cleaning cycles can be adjusted..
