7.4.1.1 measuring plate
The ISO 16409 contain the test of the passable hole diameter, the durability of the filaments in the stam and the test of the pull-out force of stem in the handle. The measuring plate is made of stainless steel with a thickness of (2.0 ± 0.1) mm. The measuring plate has a total of 30 holes with no sharp edges with a diameter of 0.6 mm up to 3.5 mm in increments of 0.1 mm. The Tolerances on hole diameter equal to ± 0.02 mm. The measuring plate can be clamped in a tensile testing machine supplied with a clip to hold the brush for the pull-out force measurement.

In this variant, the plate is not fixed. For the stem retention test, the measuring plate is aligned by pulling the test specimen in the direction of tension. A rough pre-alignment is sufficient. For the filament retention test, the measuring plate can be fixed.
